牛血清白蛋白（Bovine serum albumin, BSA）是牛血清中一种球蛋白，含583个氨基酸残基，分子量66kDa，在生化实验中应用广泛。血液中，BSA与游离脂肪酸紧密结合，形成简单的脂蛋白复合物。通常情况下，用常规方法纯化BSA难以有效去除与其结合的脂肪酸，市售普通的BSA试剂一般每摩尔含有0.2~1.5 摩尔的脂肪酸。但在一些生物医学研究中往往要求使用不含游离脂肪酸的BSA，否则高浓度的游离脂肪酸将会影响细胞培养、分化、代谢及生化测定等。本产品经专门去脂纯化处理后，脂肪酸含量为≤0.003% (w/w) （<10 mmol 脂肪酸/1 mol BSA，或在1% BSA溶液中脂肪酸浓度< 2 µmol/L），同时其内毒素含量极低，是经过脂肪细胞培养实验和游离脂肪酸测定实验检测过的。
